SOB: Florence and the Machine - How big how blue how beautiful
Every now and then I think about how lucky I am to have the same best friend for my entire life. Not only do I have a best friend, I have a sister, a soul mate, a partner in crime, my twin, and my best friend all wrapped into one kickass human being.
If you have never met Emma before, there are some things you should know.
1. You should know that she is VERY stubborn. Once she has an idea in her head she is not letting it go. It's HAPPENING.
2. She is completely great, but has NO idea. She is always talking about others, and how awesome THEY are.
3. She is the most loyal friend you could ever have.
4. She is Audrey Hepburn reincarnated
There are too many memories I could tell you about Emma, but this one describes our friendship the best:
One day, back in grade 6 or 7, Emma told me she had something to tell me after school. I spent all day wondering what she was going to tell me. What were we going to be doing after school? Had she finally found a boyfriend? Finally, it was the end of the day, and thats when I heard the worst news of my life. "I'm moving" she told me. I remember dropping to the ground in the snow in my full body snowsuit, (I know, fashionable) and crying my eyes out. Emma let me have my moment of sadness, then she picked me up and said "it's going to be OK" and proceeded to put me on my bus.
So, Emma, thanks for being the coolest most down to earth best friend I could ever ask for. Thanks for dealing with my weirdness (and joining me) thanks for showing me new things, thanks for forcing me to eat foods that I hate, thanks for teaching me to not be afraid of anything, thanks for making me shower, thanks for putting in the effort to never let our friendship fade, thanks for being there for me, thanks for always believing in me, thanks for being my person, and most of all, thanks for showing me that it will always be OK.
You will always be my best friend.
Have a relaxing evening and enjoy the rest of your week,
Abby
